What the Foundation Does
The Foundation exists to support the mission and projects of the Hamilton Downtown Association: re-investing in and maintaining the vitality of the downtown community. In practice, that means paying for the things that make downtown feel alive.
Free public events all year, from Holiday events to summer concerts, we focus on bring friends and family together.

How We Got Here
The Hamilton Downtown Association was founded in 2011 to reinvest in Hamilton's business community. As that work grew, so did the need for a dedicated nonprofit to fund the public side of it: the events, the flowers, the lights. The Hamilton Downtown Foundation was created as the HDA's 501(c)(3) arm to do exactly that.
Today the Association is nearly 150 members strong, and the Foundation channels community giving into the projects that keep downtown a place people want to be.
